Each year, hundreds of generous alumnae, parents and friends support Notre Dame Prep through gifts to the annual fund. We depend on these gifts to ensure the school’s day to day operations.
To ensure NDP’s long-term ability to grow and thrive, we rely on major and planned gifts. If the annual fund can be compared to an individual’s checking account, major and planned giving can be compared to a savings account or investments. Together, these different kinds of philanthropy come together to provide for the school’s overall financial health.
Endowed funds can be established with a minimum gift of $25,000. Such funds allow philanthropists to leave their legacy at NDP by creating a named fund to support a scholarship or other designated fund in perpetuity.
Capital improvements to campus, through the creation of new buildings or renovation of existing ones, are also fueled by philanthropy. Such gifts provide for the school’s evolving physical needs even as they allow philanthropists to demonstrate their love of NDP through naming opportunities.
Planned gifts offer myriad ways for philanthropists to provide for NDP as part of their estate planning. Some gifts are made now and can provide life-income to the donor and/or tax and financial benefits through the transfer of stock, real estate or an IRA. Other gifts vest in the future as part of an individual’s overall estate plan.
