Program Overview

Academic excellence remains the key component of Notre Dame's mission. Courses in each subject area form a progression beginning in grade six. By the time a student enters grade nine, all of her classes are geared to college preparation.

The Middle Level curriculum includes religion; language arts; social studies; mathematics; science; foreign language (Latin, French, Spanish or Romance Languages); physical education; and instrumental music, vocal music, dance and art. The curriculum is enriched through a diverse assembly program. Daily advisory group meetings round out the academic experience.

More than 575 students comprise NDP's Upper Level or high school, where students engage in a challenging academic curriculum geared to their strengths and talents. More than 160 courses are offered in core subjects such as religion, mathematics, science, English, history and foreign language, and in elective areas including visual and performing arts, physical education and swimming.
