Welcome Home

Letter from Alumnae Association President

Dear Alumna,

Who says you can’t go home?

Again, I’m proud and honored to be able to welcome you back to NDP as the president of the Alumnae Association. It’s funny, when I was student from 1994-1998, I’m sure no one would’ve guessed I’d be here today in this position. Not that I didn’t like NDP – I loved it – but I wasn’t the “get involved” type. I guess it took me a few years to realize just how big of a blessing it was to be connected to such an amazing place.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

In a lot of ways, NDP is a different place than when many of us walked its halls. Even in just the 10 years since I graduated, the school has added new wings and buildings and more technology; new scholarship funds and more students. But its core is still the same; as we’ve heard said many times before, there’s still “a spirit about this place.”

Alumnae embody this spirit more than anything else, and we are a vital part of the NDP community. The Alumnae Association connects NDP girls across generations at many events during the year. Take a look through our new web community and see what’s going on in the Alumnae Association these days. Our Executive Board and many volunteers come from different class years and groups of friends, and have varied interests, careers, and lives. There’s something for everyone. It is fun to come together with a common purpose, and it is ALWAYS interesting!

I encourage you to become involved with me in our Alumnae Association, and hope to see you “come home” to Hampton Lane again, and soon!

Sincerely,

Caitlin Rettaliata, Class of 1998
