Physical Education Program
The physical education curriculum is designed to implement the philosophy of the department which is to encourage the importance of physical activity and the enjoyment of participation. The program is intended to offer a variety of activities which promote and improve the students’ knowledge of skills, sport strategies, and fitness level. The units of study include field hockey, soccer, basketball, volleyball, badminton, tennis, and recreational activities. Our swimming curriculum is primarily based on the progressive courses created by the American Red Cross and/or the Swim America Program. Students learn and refine their skills in the front crawl, elementary back, back crawl, breaststroke, sidestroke, and butterfly.
