Director of Institutional
Advancement
Martha Kendall joined the NDP Office of Institutional Advancement in 2007 after having led the institutional advancement efforts at Archbishop Spalding High School for seven years. Her development work at St. Mary’s Schools, Big Brothers-Big Sisters of Metropolitan Chicago, and DePaul University has given her insight into both institutional and non-profit sectors of philanthropy, and her past positions in college-level admissions has given her clear understanding of institutional marketing and branding. A native of St. Louis, Martha received her graduate degree from DePaul University in Chicago and her undergraduate degree from Spring Hill College inn Alabama. Throughout her career she has regularly presented workshops and lectures on philanthropy for local and national educational associations. She serves on the boards of the Mid-Atlantic Catholic Schools Consortium, Sisters Academy of Baltimore, and the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Director of the Annual Fund
Anne Jesatko Dougherty serves as NDP’s Director of the Annual Fund . Anne graduated from Notre Dame Prep in 1968 and the College of Notre Dame of Maryland in 1972. Anne has been instrumental in the growth of NDP’s Development Office since its establishment in the early 1980’s, and her entire advancement career has been here. The positions she has held over the years have been, Assistant to the Development Director, Associate Director of Development, Director of Special Programs, and Director of the Annual Fund, a position she has held for the past eight years. As Director of the Annual Fund, Anne’s main responsibility is to raise the funds necessary to make up the difference between tuition revenue and the cost of operating the school.
Director of Alumnae Relations
Anita Williams Feeley graduated from Notre Dame Prep in 1973 and earned her Associates Degree from Villa Julie College in 1975. Anita's family legacy at NDP spans seven decades, and she therefore possesses a deep knowledge of the NDP community. When Anita returned to her alma mater as Alumnae Director, she brought with her a rich professional marketing background in the construction and finance industries. Her main goal is to re-engage and reconnect alumnae with the Prep and have them remember "the spirit about this place".
Director of Major Gifts
Janet Schmick graduated from Villa Julie College and has long been associated with the School Sisters of Notre Dame. Janet served for 14 years as the Director of Development for the School Sisters, and in January of 2006, she joined NDP’s Office of Institutional Advancement as the major gifts officer, where her main responsibility is to help raise needed funds, both for the present and the future. Janet brings with her a true understanding of the charism, mission and needs of NDP as a SSND-sponsored institution.
Director of Development Office Management and Budget
Julie Hughes serves as the Development Office Director of Office Management and Budget. Julie graduated from Youngstown State University in Ohio in 1976. Prior to coming to NDP she worked at the University of Pittsburgh Graduate School of Public & International Affairs Library, and later at Goucher College. She began at NDP in 1989 as secretary for the development office and has since assumed positions of greater responsibility. In 2005 Julie received the Unsung Hero Award by the Association of Fundraising Professionals/Maryland Chapter.
Special Events Coordinator
Donna Bambrick, a married mother of five children, came to the Development Office after ten years as a volunteer at Notre Dame while her three daughters attended the Prep. It is such a terrific community, she wanted to continue. All of her volunteer experience has served her well as an events coordinator.
Special Events Coordinator
Sharon Alecci graduated from Towson State College in 1979. She worked at The Chimes, Inc., from 1979-1982 as a supervisor and practical living skills instructor. In 1998 she became a member of the Parent Board at NDP and served as a chair of the Trading Post for seven years and as a chair of the Spring Gala for five years. As one of two school events coordinators, Sharon oversees the operations of many of the school’s special events, including the annual Spring Gala.
Administrative Assistant
for Development
Katie Emmons Creech graduated from Maryvale Preparatory School in 1993 and earned her Associates Degree from Villa Julie College in 1997. Katie came to Notre Dame Prep in 2006 with a background in finance and banking She is the Office Coordinator for both the Institutional Advancement and Business Office. She is married with one child and has lived in Baltimore her entire life.
