100 Days of True Blue Love

Members of the Class of 2022 were welcomed with a sweet surprise of customized candy heart boxes on February 14, marking the start of their eagerly anticipated countdown. Planning is in the works for the May 25 Commencement, which organizers hope will look far more traditional than the past two pandemic years have allowed.

“We want to return to those beloved traditions our students have dreamed about since the day they started at NDP,” says Ms. Laurie Jones, coordinator of special projects. “That’s what creates such tight bonds to those who have graduated ahead of them and will continue to connect and serve them well for a lifetime."

One sure sign of life getting back to normal on Hampton Lane was the Senior Class Trip to New York City, which was canceled last year due to the pandemic. While in New York, NDP seniors enjoyed the sights, two Broadway shows, and some memorable meals, all while adhering to the city’s mask and social distancing mandates. Inclement weather forced an extended stay in the Big Apple by a day, making this a trip to remember.

“I’ll never forget it, and I am so grateful to all of the faculty and staff who made sure the trip would happen for us,” says senior Madison Sanschagrin.

Fun surprises for the Class of 2022 and the rest of the students will take place on the once-in-a-lifetime date of Tuesday, February 22, 2022 – 2-22-22! Tune into NDP’s social media channels to see all the fun NDP has in store!
