Celebrating the Class of 2022

At the May 18, 2022, Upper Level Awards Ceremony, members of the Class of 2022 were honored for their outstanding accomplishments. This most accomplished group of young women—137 strong—graduate next week, thus beginning the next chapter of their educational journeys. One hundred percent of these students have been accepted to four-year colleges and universities, and combined, nearly 92% of the students were awarded more than 580 scholarships totaling nearly $33 million dollars! Here are the top honors from the Class of Blue and Red:
 
    • Rylan Sachs was a National Merit Scholarship Winner.
    • Kyleigh Cook, Ainsley Giles, Elizabeth Kelly, and Kiera Papa were named National Merit Commended Scholars
    • Maryland State Scholastic Awards recognizing the top 5% of the graduating class, were given to: Aderinsola Aderoju, Anika Aracan, Kiera Papa, Riley Riemer, Rylan Sachs, Olivia Sevy, and Margaret Ugarte
    • Reilly Riemer, Rylan Sachs, and Maggie Ugarte were named Archdiocesan Distinctive Scholars.
    • Rylan Sachs received NDP’s General Excellence Medal for highest academic average.
    • Rylan Sachs was named the 2022 White Blazer Girl.
    • Other top graduation awards recognized:

    • The Northeast Conference Award for Excellence in Language was given to Lauren DeCourcey (Chinese), ­Kiera Papa (Spanish), and Abigail Meyers and Molly Bender (French).

    • Forty students earned General STEAM Certificates. In addition, of that number, 10 students received STEAM Pathway Certificates in Computer Science; four in Engineering and Manufacturing; and 12 in Medicine.
    • 70 students received Certificates of Biliteracy.
    • At the annual Capstone Evening, 40 Bette Ellis O’Conor Scholars were honored.
    • The Class of 2022 received the Loyalty Banner.
