Former Faculty and Staff Return to Hampton Lane for Catholic Schools Week Liturgy

To conclude a wonderful Catholic Schools Week, we hosted a special Catholic Schools Week Liturgy on Friday, February 2, as we welcomed several former faculty and staff members back to campus to be a part of the celebration in our 150th Anniversary year and recognized their commitment to NDP’s mission. We express our gratitude to each and every one of those who have been a part of NDP and who have contributed to where we are now. It was heartwarming to see your smiling faces back on Hampton Lane.

Additionally, at the conclusion of the Liturgy, we honored Mrs. Marge Potter '68, Learning Resource Specialist, as Notre Dame Prep's Catholic School Teacher of the Year. Each day since she started at NDP in 2007, Mrs. Potter has demonstrated outstanding care and acceptance of all students, helping them foster confidence and self-reliance no matter the situation. Her patience is limitless, and she generously gives assistance and encouragement so students can make connections, unlock strategies, and achieve success. A deeply spiritual woman, Mrs. Potter looks at everyone as if she is looking into the face of Christ. When we talk of honoring the Christ within us, she is a living example of this. Notre Dame Prep is blessed to have such a remarkable person in our community.

“Catholic Schools Week reminds us of an important part of NDP’s mission that has not changed over these 150 years: to inspire students to grow spiritually. Prayer fosters that growth. We are so grateful that our education is planted firmly in the Gospel message which encourages us to follow Jesus’ example as we strive to become young women who transform the world!” – Sister Kathy Jager, SSND, Middle Level Campus Minister
