Theater at Notre Dame Prep

Watch us light up the stage!

Each year Notre Dame Prep's Upper Level produces two full-length theatrical productions, a full-scale musical in the fall and a school play in spring. Annually, Middle Level students put on a musical in the winter in which students assume all performance and stage-crew roles. Major lighting renovations and a total redecoration of our performance space provide state-of-the-art opportunities for our students. Student stage and tech crews use NDP's 15K lumen Epson laser projector to create animated projected scenery for performances.

NDP offers an Upper Level elective academic course, Theatre Experience, for high school students to explore improvisation and acting techniques, as well as technical theater and set design. NDP participates in both the Cappies program and the Baltimore Theater Awards, and our students are regularly recognized with awards for their fine work in theater. In addition, NDP sponsors the Hampton chapter of the International Thespian Honor Society.
