As part of the application process, parents/guardians will complete and sign a transcript release form (TRF). The TRF should not be submitted to the student’s school not before October 20, 2022. NDP needs a completed first quarter 8th-grade report card, in addition to final report cards from 6th and 7th graders and any standardized test scores. Download the Transcript Release Form. This applies only to public school and independent school applicants. NOTE: Parochial applicants have their transcripts automatically sent to NDP.
Ninth Grade (9th) applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as part of NDP’s admissions process. The HSPT is administered in a variety of ways:
All Catholic school applicants will test on November 30, 2022, at their schools. Students are required to test at their schools unless there is a reason they cannot.
Public and independent school applicants will have the option to test on either Saturday, December 3, 2022, or Saturday, December 10, 2022. NDP is a host site on December 3, 2022. While we would love for your daughter to test with NDP, she should take the test where it is most convenient. Please refer to the HSPT information at the link below for a list of locations.
Placement Day for newly accepted Upper Level students: Saturday, March 11, 2023 8:00-12:00 p.m. (snow date: Saturday, March 18, 2023, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)
During placement day, all incoming ninth-graders are expected to test in three subjects: math, English, and global language. More information will follow upon enrollment.
It is the goal of the NDP admissions team to provide a personal, comprehensive admissions process for each interested student and family. Please visit our website for a comprehensive listing of admissions events and activities beginning in the fall and culminating through the Decision Period.
