If applying for an off-grade at Notre Dame Prep—7th or 8th in the middle school or 10th or 11th in the high school—space may be limited in those classes.

Upper Level

  • Schedule the Shadow Day

    Shadows run on designated days beginning in September and run through December. Complete the inquiry form to begin scheduling your daughter’s shadow day. A shadow day, which includes the student interview/conversation with an admissions counselor, is a required part of the admissions and application process.

    An NDP counselor will follow up with you within 48 hours of submitting the shadow inquiry form (weekends excluded), confirm the date of the school visit, and provide in-depth details on what to bring and what to expect. 
  • NDP Open House

    Save the date! Saturday, October 15, 2022, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. – Join our students, faculty, and admissions team for a tour and an immersive school experience. See firsthand all the NDP has to offer your daughter and your family. Last tours begin at 11:30 a.m.
  • Application Deadline Dates

    NDP offers tiered early-bird application deadline dates. Apply between any of the timeframes below, and see what your application fee will be: 
    • August 1-September 30: fee waived 
    • October 1-October 31: $35 
    • November 1 – November 30: $50 
    • December 1- December 20: $75 
    • December 21: $100 
    • February 1- end of school year: $125 
  • School Transcripts

    As part of the application process, parents/guardians will complete and sign a transcript release form (TRF). The TRF should not be submitted to the student’s school not before October 20, 2022. NDP needs a completed first quarter 8th-grade report card, in addition to final report cards from 6th and 7th graders and any standardized test scores. Download the Transcript Release Form. This applies only to public school and independent school applicants. NOTE: Parochial applicants have their transcripts automatically sent to NDP.
  • Testing

    Ninth Grade (9th) applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as part of NDP’s admissions process. The HSPT is administered in a variety of ways:
    • All Catholic school applicants will test on November 30, 2022, at their schools. Students are required to test at their schools unless there is a reason they cannot.
    • Public and independent school applicants will have the option to test on either Saturday, December 4, 2022, or Saturday, December 11, 2022. NDP is a host site on December 4, 2022.  While we would love for your daughter to test with NDP, she should take the tests where it is most convenient. Please refer to the HSPT information on the Grade 9 Admissions page.
  • Decision Period

    • Wednesday, February 15, 2023—decision letters mailed after 12:00 p.m.
    • Thursday, February 16, 2023—accepted student emails after 4:00 p.m.
    • Thursday, February 23, 2023—Ninth Grade Accepted Students Welcome Event for, 4:00-6:00 p.m.
    • Sunday, February 26, 2023—Ninth Grade Paint Day for Accepted Students, 1:30-3:30 p.m.
    • Wednesday, March 1, 2023—Mini-Meet – Accepted Ninth Grade Students, 4:30 p.m.
    • Friday, March 3, 2023—Deposit Deadline Day for Enrollment into NDP Class 2027 – by 4:00 p.m. (please note – a student cannot dual deposit)
  • After Enrolling

    Placement Day for newly accepted Upper Level students: Saturday, March 11, 2023 8:00-12:00 p.m. (snow date: Saturday, March 18, 2023, 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.)

    During placement day, all incoming ninth-graders are expected to test in three subjects: math, English, and global language. More information will follow upon enrollment.

    Sixth Grade (6th) applicants are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) as part of the NDP Middle Level admissions process.
    • NDP hosts the ISEE test for applicants-only to NDP on Saturday, December 10, 2022, 8:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. for sixth grade applicants; 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. for seventh and eighth grade applicants.
  • Decision Period

    • May Get Acquainted Party: Join your new classmates for a fun and informative event now that you are a Blazer (hosted by the Middle Level administration and faculty) 
    • Placement testing will occur for all incoming Middle Level Students. Date TBD but will be communicated well in advance; usually happens in May.
