If applying for an off-grade at Notre Dame Prep—7th or 8th in the middle school or 10th or 11th in the high school—space may be limited in those classes.
Shadows run on designated days beginning in September and run through December; if there is a demand, January shadows days will be added. Complete the inquiry form to begin scheduling your daughter’s shadow day. A shadow day, which includes the student interview/conversation with an admissions counselor, is a required part of the admissions and application process.
An NDP counselor will follow up with you within 48 hours of submitting the shadow inquiry form (weekends excluded), confirm the date of the school visit, and provide in-depth details on what to bring and what to expect.

As part of the application process, parents/guardians will complete and sign a transcript release form (TRF). The TRF should not be submitted to the student’s school before or around October 15, 2022. NDP needs a completed first quarter 8th-grade report card, in addition to final report cards from 6th and 7th graders and any standardized test scores. Download the Transcript Release Form. This applies only to public school and independent school applicants. NOTE: Parochial applicants have their transcripts automatically sent to NDP.
Ninth Grade (9th) applicants are required to take the High School Placement Test (HSPT) as part of NDP’s admissions process. The HSPT is administered in a variety of ways:
All catholic school applicants will test on December 1 at their schools. Students are required to test at their schools unless there is a reason they cannot.
Public and independent school applicants will have the option to test on one of two dates TBA. NDP is a test site date is also TBD. While we would love for your daughter to test with NDP, she should take the tests where it is most convenient for her. Please refer to the HSPT information on the Grade 9 Admissions page.
During a placement day, all incoming ninth-graders are expected to test in three subjects: math, English, and global language. More information will follow upon enrollment.

Sixth Grade (6th) applicants are required to take the Independent School Entrance Exam (ISEE) as part of the NDP Middle Level admissions process.
NDP applicants can test at any Baltimore-area test location. Families can see available testing sites by visiting https://www.erblearn.org/parents/isee-overview. NDP will offer a test day.
NDP 6th-grade applicants for the 2023-2024 year should take the ISEE no later than mid-January, 2023.

Placement testing will occur for all incoming Middle Level Students. Date TBD but will be communicated well in advance; usually happens in May.
