Music at NDP
Whether a student is seriously pursuing a career in music or wants to expand her enjoyment of music, Notre Dame Prep's Music Department offers many opportunities.
Middle Level students may participate in band, orchestra, chorus, or piano lab. In the Upper Level, NDP offers credited music courses in Band, Orchestra, Chorus, Piano, Guitar, and AP Music Theory. Students may also participate in our extra-curricular program for private lessons.

Notre Dame Preparatory School is a member of the Tri-M National Music Honor Society, the international honor society recognizing secondary music students for their musical ability, academic excellence, school involvement, and community service.

Highlights of the Notre Dame Prep Music Program:
  • Middle Level Band, Orchestra, Chorus participates annually in regional music adjudications
  • Middle Level Innovate-Design Time classes in World Drumming and Hand Bells
  • Upper Level Chamber Choir
  • Upper Level Jazz Ensemble
  • Upper Level Concert Band, Orchestra, and Concert Choir participates annually in national music adjudications
  • Host school for Archdiocesan Elementary Rep Band and Music Adjudication
  • Private lessons on all instruments including voice and piano are offered as an extracurricular program to both the Upper and Middle Level music students
  • Tri-M Chapter 4488 of the National Music Honor Society

Private Music Lessons

Do you love music? Are you a performing arts student? NDP offers an extra-curricular program of private music lessons during the school year. Students can take lessons before, during, and after school with five instructors in brass/percussion, strings, woodwinds, piano, and voice.
