Dear Friends –
We began the 2019-20 school year with excitement as we welcomed our students and witnessed breathtaking changes on our campus with the construction of our new Jane Kroh Satterfield Innovation Wing. We gathered together as a community to celebrate a faith-filled Opening Liturgy, the traditional Gateway Ceremony, and the beginning of an exciting new school year. Things certainly have changed in the span of one year. We never imagined that we would end the last school year as we did and begin our new school year socially distanced from one another.
The beginning of the 2020-21 school year will look very different than years past as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and important public health concerns. Despite the uncertainty we face about so many things – the schedule for our students this year, how and when we will be permitted to gather as a community, and how we will celebrate beloved traditions, we know that some things do not change, and that includes our collective commitment to our mission, to our community, and to our faith.
Our theme for the 2020-21 school year is United in Faith. Even when we cannot gather physically as a community, we are united through our faith in our God, in the Gospel message, and in hope, for good things to come, for an exceptional educational experience for our girls, and for a future in which our amazing students, fortified in heart and mind, will be prepared to leave Hampton Lane to take on the challenges of our 21st century.
We are grateful for the many people in our community who invest in our mission and in our students. We are grateful to all those who partner with us to live out our mission in the best of times and now, as we navigate through so much uncertainty and work to meet needs we could not have anticipated. Together, we will give our students the tools they need to thrive and to become loving, just, and wise women who will one day go out to transform our world.
With appreciation,
Kristen Stamile Kinkopf
