NDP Alumnae Return to Campus for Unforgettable True Blue Reunion Weekend

Notre Dame Preparatory School was filled with joy, memories, and school spirit from May 2–3 as alumnae spanning generations returned to campus for the annual True Blue Reunion Weekend. The celebration was a meaningful mix of tradition, connection, and new beginnings.

Festivities began Friday morning with a moving Reunion Mass, celebrated by Father Brendan Fitzgerald. Immediately following the liturgy, the Class of 2025 was officially welcomed into the Alumnae Association during the school’s cherished Alumnae Induction Ceremony. Each student received a blessed Miraculous Medal—once a beloved part of the NDP uniform—from Fr. Fitzgerald and Sister Patricia McCarron, SSND, Ph.D., symbolizing their transition into the sisterhood of alumnae.

One of the weekend’s highlights was the presentation of the Mother Caroline Friess Alumna of the Year Award. This year’s honor was shared by two distinguished members of the Class of 1961: Sister Sharon Slear, SSND, Ph.D., and Peggy Greenman. Their lifetime of service and leadership reflect the spirit of Notre Dame Prep and its mission.

The celebration continued with a Jubilarian Brunch honoring the Class of 1975 and other past jubilarians. The dining room buzzed with laughter and warm conversation as classmates reconnected over brunch. Jeanette Glose Partlow ’75 delivered heartfelt remarks reflecting on the Class of 1975’s bond and legacy. The reunion was made possible thanks to the dedicated efforts of the Class of 1975 Reunion Committee: Sharyn Dachille, Elise Forrester, Bobbie Watson, and Mary Beth Protzman. In a special moment, Protzman also presented a gift to The Fund for Notre Dame Prep from the Alumnae Board in honor of Sister Patricia’s 20 years of leadership as Head of School.

Later that evening, alumnae from class years ending in 0 and 5 gathered for the True Blue Reunion Cocktail Reception. Class banners, vibrant conversation, and nostalgic stories filled the room, bringing the NDP sisterhood to life once again.

The weekend concluded on a high note with the debut of NDPrep Fest on Saturday afternoon. The inaugural event welcomed alumnae from all years and their families for an afternoon of live music, food trucks, lawn games, and community fun. It was a joyful extension of the NDP spirit, kicking off what is sure to become a beloved new tradition.

True Blue Reunion Weekend served as a powerful reminder of the lifelong connection shared by Notre Dame Prep alumnae. Thank you to everyone who came home to celebrate, and to those who helped make the weekend such a success. We can’t wait to welcome you back next year!
