The Theatre program at Notre Dame Preparatory School offers young women a full spectrum of performing arts experiences, from the stage to the tech booth. Each year, NDP's Upper Level students produce two full-length theatrical productions, while Middle Level students take on every performance and stage crew role in their own winter musical. Recent investments in the program—including major lighting renovations, a fully redecorated auditorium, and a state-of-the-art 15,000-lumen laser projector that powers student-designed animated scenery—give aspiring actors, designers, and technicians a professional-caliber space to create. Through the Performing Arts Department's Theatre Experience elective, Upper Level students explore improvisation, acting technique, technical theatre, and set design, and NDP proudly sponsors the Hampton Chapter of the International Thespian Society. Whether stepping into the spotlight or building the world behind it, NDP students discover their voice and the confidence to transform the world around them.
