Friends of the Arts
The Notre Dame Preparatory School Friends of the Arts (FOTA) organization was founded in 2003 to support and enrich the experience of both Upper Level and Middle Level students and faculty in the visual and performing arts, including art, theatre, music (chorus, chamber choir, band, and orchestra), and dance. FOTA aims to blend the donations of time and creativity, as well as social events and fundraising, to enhance and strengthen the strong ties among the NDP artistic community. It gives parents the opportunity to be involved in their daughters' passion for the arts.
All NDP families are invited to join FOTA to help enhance the school's arts programs. Whether your daughter is a sculptor, actress, vocalist, painter, musician, choreographer, photographer, graphic designer, or techie, she is a vital part of the NDP arts scene.

Supporting the Arts at NDP
FOTA has raised funds to support the renovations in the Auditorium and Equipment for the Visual Arts. The renovations include exciting improvements to the Stage and beautiful new seating. FOTA also has donated a new 3D printer for the Graphic Art Room in the new Innovation Wing.
Donations in past years have been used for:
- Handbells
- Art and framing supplies
- Band chairs
- Communication system for the Auditorium
- Wireless microphones and batteries
- Spotlights for the Stage
- Vibraphone for the Concert Band
- Musical rights for the plays
FOTA also supports the exceptional faculty who teach our daughters as well as enable NDP's arts programs to purchase equipment and participate in activities that were previously out of their reach.
FOTA Volunteer Opportunities
There are many ways to volunteer with FOTA including coordinating and staffing a FOTA hospitality table, serving as an usher, or selling refreshments and cookiegrams at Middle and Upper Level musical concerts, theatre performances, and art shows.
Join us for one of our monthly meetings during the 2024–2025 school year. Meetings take place from 7–8 p.m. in the Middle Level Gathering Space, unless otherwise noted.
