Grounded in the spirit of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, Catholic Social Teaching, and NDP's Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging Commitments, students develop as leaders and global citizens that recognize each person as made in God’s image and honors the dignity and gifts of each individual. In a community that fosters inclusion and belonging, students are educated and empowered to eliminate the root causes of injustice and transform the world.
Our Intention
The goal of Notre Dame Preparatory School is to create a community in which all feel welcome. We want our students to confidently know that NDP is a place where they can achieve the fullness of their God-given potential, without worry or fear of judgment or mistreatment. We believe that everyone benefits from participation in such an environment and that it is only through fully belonging that the school’s mission to “educate and empower girls to become women who transform the world” will be truly fulfilled.
Notre Dame Preparatory School’s mission, vision, and values guide our way forward and strengthen our commitment to the message of love, respect, justice, and equality for all.
Notre Dame Preparatory School recognizes that racism is a sin and is committed to working towards ending all systemic racial injustice within the school community and extending to the greater community.
Notre Dame Preparatory School embraces a diverse and inclusive community and is committed to creating an environment that honors and respects the dignity and gifts of each individual and fosters equity through its community life, programming and activities, and outreach to the broader community.
Notre Dame Preparatory School is committed to educating and empowering young women to work actively to eliminate the root causes of injustice and thereby transform our world for the better.

STRIVE: Anti-Racism Task Force
STRIVE, which stands for Sustaining Transformation: Racial Inclusion, Value, and Equity, is Notre Dame Preparatory School’s Anti-Racism Task Force. This vital group is a collaboration of alumnae, parents of alumnae, faculty, staff, School Sisters of Notre Dame, and community leaders. With deep commitment and compassion, they guide our work to ensure NDP is a community built on justice and inclusivity for all.
Student Affinity Groups
During the 2018–2019 school year, Affinity Groups were created at NDP to provide students, faculty, and staff who share a similar identity a space to come together for reflection, dialogue, and support. Affinity Groups at NDP include the Asian Student Association (ASA); the Black Student Union (BSU); Bridges; Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion Allies (DEIA); the Greek Student Association (GSA); Infinity; the Latin and Hispanic Student Union (LHSU); and the Middle Eastern Student Association (MESA).
Student Diversity Council
The Diversity Council (DC) is a student-run leadership organization designed for students to gather and raise awareness, understanding, appreciation, and respectful interaction of diverse cultures. The Diversity Council provides support to students, faculty, and staff who identify as minority groups within the NDP community, as well as allies to these minority groups, through discussion, education, and social activism. The group takes an active role in fighting against prejudice, hatred, and ignorance by promoting tolerance and understanding.
