From the Head of School Search Committee

It’s an exciting time at Notre Dame Prep! Over the past few weeks, in addition to Gym Meet, our students, parents, alumnae, faculty, and staff extended a warm welcome to three highly qualified finalists who may be selected to serve as our next Head of School.

The Search Committee, led by former trustee Lisa Stromberg, is grateful for the overwhelming level of engagement and rich feedback received as approximately 240 members of our community attended in-person sessions, about 210 joined the conversation online, and we received over 210 responses to the online surveys to provide important opinions.

After each visit, the Head of School candidates expressed how enthusiastic and impressed they were after spending time on campus, sharing that NDP is a special school with a strong Catholic identity and a clear mission to empower girls.  For that strong foundation, we are grateful to Sister Patricia McCarron for instilling the tradition of excellence her successor will inherit.

Taking your input into account, the Search Committee will now make its recommendation and present this to the NDP Board of Trustees. The SSND Sponsor Council which was created to “better nurture, support, and sustain the mission of [SSND] sponsored and cosponsored ministries,” will also weigh in to provide final approval. There will be additional updates in the days ahead but we extend our appreciation for all your support and contributions during this important process. We look forward to welcoming a new Head of School to our community on July 1, 2025.
