Middle Level Fall Sports Information for the 2025–2026 School Year

General Information

Middle Level sports at NDP are open to all students in Grades 6–8. We compete interscholastically with other private and public schools. Please note that it is not required for a student play a sport. Middle Level fall sports for the 2025–2026 school year include Cross Country, Field Hockey, Soccer, and Volleyball. Please review additional information below. If you have any questions or concerns about the following information, please email Mrs. Kim Bryson, Assistant Director of Athletics.

  • Practices & Games: Middle Level sports are held Monday through Thursday throughout the school year. Practices are held after school from 3:20–4:30 p.m., and games are held after school starting around 3:45 p.m. or 4:45 p.m. There are no games or practices held on Fridays. We travel to away games by yellow school bus or NDP’s Blazer bus. Transportation is provided to and from the away game location, but parents may take their child home directly from the away game.

  • Tiered Teams: Our intentions are to have one cross country team, two teams for field hockey, two teams for volleyball, and two to three teams for soccer. For sports with multiple teams, the A team will be competitive, and B and/or C teams will be more geared toward development and learning the fundamentals.

  • Equipment & Uniforms: Students are required to have the appropriate equipment and attire for their specific sport. Players are issued a team uniform at the start of the season and required to return the uniform at the end of the season.

Seasonal Athletics Fee

Notre Dame Preparatory School assesses a seasonal Athletics Fee for students participating in interscholastic sports. This fee helps cover the costs associated with running a high-quality athletics program, including coaching, required uniform items, officials, transportation, equipment, and other essential expenses. The fee is charged per season of participation and supports NDP’s commitment to providing a competitive and well-rounded athletic experience for our student-athletes. The Middle Level Seasonal Athletics Fee for the 2025–2026 school year is $175 per sport each season (Fall, Winter, Spring).

Registration & Tryouts

All Middle Level fall sports tryouts begin on Tuesday, September 2.
