NDP Speech & Debate Shines in First Competition of 2025–2026 School Year
Notre Dame Prep's Speech and Debate team kicked off the school year with an impressive showing at their first competition, the Baltimore Catholic Forensic League (BCFL) #1, held at Mount Saint Joseph High School on Saturday, October 4. The team brought home several medals, showcasing their talent and dedication.
A standout performance came from Ella N. '28, who competed in the Junior Varsity Lincoln Douglas Debate. In her very first competition, Ella won all three of her debates, earning a silver medal.
Kim S. '28 also had a dominant performance, winning a gold medal in Declamation. Kim’s powerful delivery and captivating presence earned her first place in all three rounds of the competition.
Rounding out the top awards for NDP was Hailey L. '27, who won a gold medal in Oral Interpretation of Literature. Hailey’s versatility was on full display as she also competed in two other events. For her outstanding performance across three separate events, she was awarded an additional gold medal as a “triathlete.”
