Students Brave the Heat to Serve with Habitat for Humanity in Virginia

During the final week of June, a dedicated group of Notre Dame Prep students spent the start of their summer break serving others as part of our annual Virginia Delegation with Habitat for Humanity. In partnership with students from Calvert Hall, our Blazers worked hard—despite the summer heat—to build homes and hope for families in need on the rural Eastern Shore of Virginia.

Launched in 2004, this meaningful service trip offers students from both schools the chance to connect and collaborate as they construct housing for Habitat for Humanity. The experience extends beyond the job site: students work together to prepare meals (with some generously donated by local church communities), spend evenings reflecting on their work and bonding over shared experiences, and enjoy a well-earned mid-week break at Virginia Beach.

We are so proud of these students’ compassion, teamwork, and commitment to living out Notre Dame Prep's mission.
