Elisa R. ’27 Honored at Scholastic Art & Writing Awards National Ceremony in NYC
Elisa R. ’27 capped off a season of artistic achievement with a trip to New York City on June 11 for the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards National Ceremony. The prestigious event celebrated top student artists and writers from across the country, including Elisa, who was recognized with a National Gold Medal in Writing for her poem, “To Whom Does It Belong?”
Earlier this year, Elisa also earned the highly selective American Voices Award—one of just 43 presented nationwide—making her one of the most decorated young writers in the 2025 Scholastic competition. Her attendance at the national ceremony marked the final celebration of her incredible accomplishment.
Elisa wasn’t the only Blazer recognized on the national level this year. Alice G. ’25 received a National Silver Medal for her compelling digital art piece, “Waiting.”
In total, the 2025 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards granted approximately 1,600 National Medals for individual works of art and 750 for individual pieces of writing. We are tremendously proud of Elisa and Alice for using their voices and vision to make an impact—and for representing Notre Dame Prep with such talent and creativity on the national stage!
