Student-Athletes Attend IAAM Athletic Leadership Symposium

Three of Notre Dame Preparatory School's student-athletes attended the annual Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) Athletic Leadership Symposium on Thursday, October 9, at Roland Park Country School. The symposium is a key event where each IAAM member school selects three student-athletes to represent them and focus on developing essential leadership skills. NDP was proudly represented by the following seniors:
  • Lucy M. (Cross Country, Indoor Track, & Softball)
  • Elspeth S. (Cross Country & Lacrosse)
  • Maddie F. (Field Hockey & Lacrosse)
Accompanied by Mrs. Kim Bryson, Assistant Director of Athletics, the NDP delegates had a dynamic and inspiring day. The program featured an insightful address from keynote speaker Janine Tucker, the highly respected former Head Coach of the Johns Hopkins Women's Lacrosse program.

Following the keynote, the student-athletes participated in small group discussions centered on the powerful theme: "Lead to Leave Better." This interactive session focused on practical ways the athletes can be exceptional leaders, establishing positive and lasting impacts both on and off the playing fields.

The symposium provided a valuable opportunity for the student-athletes to engage with their peers from across the league and bring back new strategies to strengthen the leadership culture within the Notre Dame Prep's athletics program.
