Students receive Cum Laude Society Pins for Academic Excellence

This morning, Dr. Victor Pellechia, Upper Level Principal, presented 16 seniors with their Cum Laude Society pins. Last school year, these talented students were inducted into this prestigious society for being in the top 10% of their class as juniors.

The Cum Laude Society's motto is Areté, Diké, Timé, which stands for Excellence, Justice, and Honor. Areté is not limited to superiority or scholarship but includes the concept of excellence in a moral sense. Diké involves what is appropriate and just, while Timé includes the concept of dignity, truth, and honor.

Congratulations to all the students who have earned this academic achievement!
