Stacey Giannopoulos ’28 Named IAAM Athlete of the Week
Notre Dame Preparatory School is proud to announce that sophomore point guard Stacey Giannopoulos has been named the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland (IAAM) Athlete of the Week.
The IAAM recognition highlights Giannopoulos's versatility as a floor general. Standing at 5'6", she controls the tempo for the Blazers, contributing not just in scoring, but by facilitating the offense and anchoring the perimeter defense.
Her performance has been a key factor in the squad's offensive efficiency, marked by nine points, three steals, and a pair of blocks in a 54-35 victory over Maryvale before adding 12 points, eight boards, seven assists, and an impressive six steals in a 69-37 win over Holy Child last week.
The Notre Dame Prep community congratulates Stacey on this well-deserved achievement and looks forward to her continued success on the court this season.
