Notre Dame Prep Achieves Gold Excellence on 2025 AP School Honor Roll
Notre Dame Preparatory School has been named to the College Board’s 2025 AP School Honor Roll, achieving the Gold distinction. This recognition highlights the school's success in providing students with broad access to Advanced Placement (AP) coursework while fostering an environment that supports high academic achievement. By meeting rigorous standards in several key areas, the school continues to demonstrate its commitment to preparing students for the transition to higher education.
The Honor Roll status is determined by performance across three specific metrics: College Culture, College Credit, and College Optimization. Notre Dame Prep achieved Platinum status—the highest possible level—in the first two categories. In the College Culture metric, 80% of the Class of 2025 took at least one AP exam during high school. Additionally, 73% of the class earned College Credit by scoring a 3 or higher on at least one AP exam, a milestone that can accelerate a student's path to college graduation.
The school also earned Gold recognition in College Optimization, with 11% of the graduating class taking five or more AP exams, including at least one during their freshman or sophomore year. This metric is designed to encourage students to distribute their advanced coursework throughout their high school careers, avoiding an overloaded schedule in their final years. By starting this journey early, students build the academic stamina and confidence necessary for long-term success.
This achievement is the result of a dedicated schoolwide effort involving teachers, counselors, administrators, and families. By making AP access a priority, Notre Dame Prep ensures that students are exposed to college-level rigor while still in a supportive high school environment. This collective commitment to academic excellence remains a cornerstone of the school’s mission to prepare graduates for the challenges of college and beyond.
