Seniors "Go Together" to Capture the Silver Cup and Conclude Historic Gym Meet Week

On March 6 and 7, the Notre Dame Prep community celebrated its most storied tradition: Gym Meet. Entirely student-led, this highly anticipated showcase is the result of months of intense preparation, serving as a masterclass in student leadership, creativity, and unity.

The weekend competition served as the pinnacle of a weeklong campus celebration. The festivities kicked off on Tuesday with poster reveals and a dress rehearsal for faculty and staff, followed by Wednesday's Mini Meet for returning alumnae. By Friday morning, the senior class had transformed the campus with elaborate decorations, initiating the final countdown with their annual Senior Run through the hallways. Grounding the excitement in the school's spiritual mission, the community also gathered for a Gym Meet Liturgy, and the Class of 2026 took part in a special Senior Liturgy on Saturday.

When the classes finally took the gym floor, the competition was fierce as each grade debuted their highly guarded themes beneath the elaborate, hand-crafted class posters hanging from the walls. The freshmen (Class of 2029) brought the energy with "Fresh and Furious," while the sophomores (Class of 2028) transported the crowd to the "'28 Empire State."

The juniors (Class of 2027) celebrated early with their "'27 Days of Christmas" theme, delivering outstanding vocal and rhythmic performances, alongside stunning visual artwork. However, it was the senior class, embracing their defining theme "We Go Together!", who dominated the athletic and choreographic routines.

Ultimately, the seniors' exceptional overall performance earned them the highly coveted Silver Cup, cementing their legacy in NDP history. Congratulations to all the participants who poured their hearts out on the floor, upholding a tradition that continues to forge lifelong bonds.
