NDP Community Continues Beloved Service Tradition at First Fruits Farm

Continuing a partnership more than a decade strong, a dedicated group of Notre Dame Prep students, faculty, and staff spent a week serving at First Fruits Farm in late July.

This annual service trip is a cornerstone of NDP's commitment to community outreach, with Blazers traveling to the farm to assist in harvesting fresh, healthy produce. Accompanied by faculty and staff, the student volunteers rolled up their sleeves and worked as farmhands to harvest cabbage, corn, and onions. Every item harvested at the nonprofit farm is donated to a network of soup kitchens, food pantries, and charitable organizations across the state.

The long-standing relationship is treasured not only by the school but also by the farm itself. The team at First Fruits Farm often remarks on the dedication and enthusiasm of the NDP volunteers, noting that they are some of the best and most hardworking groups they host all year long.

The annual trip to First Fruits Farm is more than just a service opportunity; it is a hands-on lesson in stewardship, community, and the tangible impact of giving back. Notre Dame Prep is proud to support this wonderful nonprofit partner and looks forward to returning to the fields next year.
