Nancy '67 & Steve Whalen, GP'25, GP'28: 2026 Hampton Award Recipients

For Nancy and Steve Whalen, Notre Dame Prep has always been more than a school. It is a community they have embraced, supported, and strengthened through many years of service and generosity.

Nancy’s connection to NDP began as a student in the Class of 1967, and her commitment to the school has continued throughout the years. She has generously shared her time, talent, and professional expertise through her longtime service as a trustee and her work on the Buildings and Grounds Committee, master planning, fundraising campaigns, and other important initiatives.

Through her work with Whalen Properties, Nancy brought valuable experience in real estate, development, and planning to her service at NDP. She was an early champion of the Student Commons and kitchen renovations, participating in many planning conversations and playing a key role in bringing this important project to life.

Nancy and Steve have also been enthusiastic supporters of NDP’s Gala and many of the school’s philanthropic priorities. Their generosity reflects a deep belief in the power of an NDP education and in the community that makes it possible.

Their connection to NDP has come full circle as proud grandparents of Abby, Class of 2025, and Kelly, Class of 2028.
