Global Flavors Take Center Stage at 3rd Annual Taste of the World Event
Notre Dame Prep's Dining Room transformed into a vibrant global marketplace on Wednesday, October 22, as the school community gathered for the 3rd Annual Taste of the World event, hosted by NDP's Diversity Council, Affinity Groups, and Sisterhood Cultural Clubs. Students, faculty, and staff celebrated the rich tapestry of cultures represented at NDP by sharing and sampling a diverse array of international dishes and traditions.
The lively lunchtime event encouraged students to travel the world without leaving campus. Participants were invited to visit the various "countries" represented by tables laden with delicious, authentic food—from savory entrees to sweet desserts. Students collected stickers in a special passport for each country they visited, which they could then turn in for a chance to win raffle prizes. The goal of the day was for students to explore new flavors, learn about different customs, and engage in conversations about culture and heritage.
This year's celebration continued to foster a sense of understanding, compassion, and unity by emphasizing the value of diversity within the NDP community. By sharing their heritage through food and conversation, students enriched the community in a truly delicious way. Special thanks to the Diversity Council and all of our students, faculty, staff, and families who contributed their time and culinary talents to make the 3rd Annual Taste of the World a resounding success.
