NDP Scholars Capture 31 Regional Scholastic Art & Writing Awards

Notre Dame Prep’s creative community is celebrating a landmark achievement this month, as students brought home a staggering 31 regional honors in the annual Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Competing in one of the nation’s most prestigious recognition programs for creative teens, our students were recognized across a diverse array of disciplines, including poetry, painting, memoir, digital art, and mixed media.

Leading the charge were four exceptional students who earned the program's highest regional honor: the Gold Key. These top-tier pieces are recognized for their striking originality, technical skill, and emergence of a personal voice or vision:

  • Isabella D. ’29: Short Story (Gold), Poetry (Silver)
  • Madisyn L. ’29: Poetry (Two Gold Keys, Two Silver Keys, Three Honorable Mentions)
  • Isabella N. ’28: Poetry (Gold, Two Silver Keys)
  • Chloe Y. ’30: Poetry (Gold, Honorable Mention)

The creative dominance extended well beyond the Gold Key tier, with 14 additional students earning Silver Keys and Honorable Mentions for their outstanding portfolios and individual pieces:

  • Class of 2026: BiancaRose N. (Critical Essay Silver, Poetry HM)
  • Class of 2027: Kathryn A. (Painting HM), Margaret F. (Painting HM), Teresa I. (Poetry, 2 HMs), Ava S. (Mixed Media HM), and Flory T. (Drawing Silver)
