NDP Honors SSND Mission with International Women’s Day Assembly
On March 11, Notre Dame Prep reaffirmed its foundational commitment to women's education with a campuswide International Women’s Day Assembly. As an affiliate school of the School Sisters of Notre Dame, the event served as a powerful platform to uplift female voices and highlight the ongoing work required to empower the next generation of women leaders.
The assembly was anchored by a comprehensive, student-led presentation from the Women’s Studies class. Taking the stage before their peers, the students delivered well-researched insights on a variety of critical contemporary issues, including intersectional feminism, the evolving landscape of women in sports, and the persistent realities of the global gender pay gap.
To amplify the students' academic work with real-world advocacy, the school welcomed Sr. Limétèze Pierre-Gilles, SSND, as the featured guest speaker. In her role as the Assistant Director of Engagement at Beyond Borders, Sr. Limétèze spoke to the student body about her ongoing work on the front lines of women's advocacy, perfectly bridging the school's SSND charism with actionable, global change.
