Students Explore Special Education Careers During Immersive Visit to The Tangram School

Several students recently gained invaluable hands-on experience in the field of special education during an immersive day at The Tangram School. Partnering with Arrow Child & Family Ministries, an official NDP WIN Partner, the Blazers spent the day exploring a specialized, adapted learning environment.

The visit was graciously hosted by NDP alumna Christina George ’09, highlighting the enduring strength of the school's alumnae network and its commitment to real-world career exploration. Throughout the day, participating students Ava D. ’27, Lelia W. ’27, Claire W. ’27, Abigail-Clare B. ’28, Colette S. ’28, Jordan D-M. ’28, and Sophia M. ’28 engaged directly with a variety of professional disciplines. The girls observed and actively participated in occupational therapy, speech-language therapy, fine arts, and academics, seeing firsthand how Tangram students learn and thrive with additional professional support.

Beyond observing the classroom dynamics, the Blazers received vital career guidance from the dedicated Tangram team. Teachers, therapists, and counselors shared practical advice on college majors, licensure options, and diverse career paths. By exploring rewarding fields such as speech-language pathology, applied behavior analysis, audiology, teaching, and social work, the students gained a powerful look into a unique and highly rewarding profession. Notre Dame Prep extends its sincere thanks to all the professionals at The Tangram School for providing this inspiring and educational opportunity.
