NDP Tennis Crowned 2026 IAAM 'B' Conference Champions

Congratulations to NDP's varsity tennis team for being crowned 2026 IAAM 'B' Conference Champions this week. The Blazers claimed the conference title on Thursday, October 29, led by championships at No. 2 singles and No. 2 doubles, both decided in tiebreaks.

The postseason tournament began Monday, when Lindsey S. ‘27 won her first-round match while the rest of the team earned first-round byes. All of NDP’s varsity players then advanced to Wednesday’s semifinals at McDonogh School, where the Blazers returned Thursday for the championship matches.

At No. 2 singles, senior Lila S. ‘27 took the first set 6-4, then held her nerve in a tight second set, winning the tiebreak 8-6 to close out the championship in straight sets, 6-4, 7-6 (8-6).

The No. 2 doubles team of juniors Jordan B. ‘28 and Olivia C. ‘28 needed all three sets. After winning the first set 6-2 and dropping the second 3-6, the pair won the deciding tiebreak 7-3 to take their flight title, 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (7-3).

Congratulations to the entire tennis team on their championship season!
