Creativity in Action: AP and Advanced Art Students Volunteer at Hon’s Honey

In the spirit of the Thanksgiving season, students from Notre Dame Prep’s AP and Advanced Art & Design classes recently took their learning beyond the studio to support a vital community partner. The group visited Hon’s Honey to learn about the organization’s powerful mission and volunteer alongside their dedicated team.

Hon’s Honey is a Baltimore-based social enterprise dedicated to employing and empowering women who have overcome significant trauma, including addiction, sex trafficking, generational poverty, and abuse. With 100% of profits going toward supporting their employment, the organization stands as a beacon of hope and renewal in the community.

During the visit, NDP students witnessed firsthand how creativity can inspire change in the lives of others. By working side-by-side with the women of Hon’s Honey, the students gained a deeper understanding of social justice and the impact of social entrepreneurship.

The trip served as a meaningful reminder that art and compassion go hand-in-hand. It offered our students a unique perspective on how their time, talents, and service can make a tangible difference in the world.
