Varsity Softball captures 2025 IAAM 'B' Conference Championship

Varsity Softball captured the IAAM 'B' Conference Championship with a decisive 14-2 win over Maryvale on Thursday, May 15, at Mount de Sales Academy (neutral site), capping off a spectacular undefeated season in conference play. The victory was especially meaningful following last year’s semifinal upset loss, despite a similarly strong performance during the regular season.

This year, the Blazers dominated both offensively and defensively. They jumped to an early lead in the first inning and continued their momentum with a breakout second inning. Key contributions came from sophomore pitcher Lea Neff, who struck out seven batters over five innings, and junior Abby Pitz, who launched a three-run home run to center field.

NDP tallied 11 hits, with multiple players driving in runs, including Bella Canova, Ryan Owenson, and Luci Whiting, whose three-run triple helped seal the win. With a young and talented roster, the future looks bright for the Blazers as they look ahead to continued success.
