In celebration of Earth Week, which took place from April 21–27, Notre Dame Prep partnered with Neighborhood Forest to bring a meaningful, hands-on environmental initiative to life—providing free trees to members of our community.
Thanks to the enthusiastic response, 57 families signed up to receive a total of 64 Black Cherry tree saplings. These trees have now been distributed and will soon be planted in yards and gardens across the area, helping to beautify neighborhoods, support local ecosystems, and contribute to a greener planet.
We’re proud to see our community come together in support of sustainability and environmental stewardship. A heartfelt thank you to Mrs. Pennington, Middle Level Social Studies Teacher, Ms. Madero, Middle Level Science Teacher, and Dr. Kicklighter, Science Department Chairperson, for organizing this initiative, as well as all who participated and helped make a lasting impact—one tree at a time.
