A loyal and generous benefactor, Peggy has made an indelible impact on our school through the establishment of several family scholarships that ensure future generations of young women can benefit from an NDP education. These include the Mullan Family Scholarship Fund, the Mary Dutrow Cunningham ’40 Scholarship Fund, and the Getty Dutrow Mullan ’37 Scholarship Fund—each a testament to her deep commitment to family and to giving back.
A 12-year girl and a tireless advocate for NDP, Peggy served as Alumnae President from 1978 to 1981. She founded and ran the Alumnae Bus Trip to New York City for years to build the Alumnae Scholarship Fund. Her dedication hasn’t wavered in the decades since. Whether calling the Advancement Office to share updates about her classmates, penning the class chatter, or continuing to support the school in meaningful ways, Peggy's devotion to the NDP community is both inspiring and enduring.
Her legacy is rooted in generations of NDP women. Her mother, Getty Dutrow Mullan ’37, her sisters, Patricia Kammer ’62, Kathleen Harrison ’67, and Joanne Miller ’72 (deceased), her aunt, Mary Dutrow Cunningham ’40, and cousins, Marylou Fineran ’63 and Leighton Fineran ’18, all share in the traditions of NDP.
After her twelve years at NDP, Peggy graduated from Villa Julie College (now Stevenson University). Peggy is the owner of the Joseph Mullan Company, an apartment management and development firm founded by her father in 1971. Since 1995, she has faithfully carried on his legacy, managing the family business and the 400-unit Kenwood Park Apartments, a building her father constructed. Her family’s history is deeply woven into Baltimore’s fabric—her grandfather, Thomas Mullan, founded the Mullan Contracting Company and was a part owner of the Baltimore Colts.
In every way, Peggy Greenman exemplifies the spirit of NDP: faith-filled, generous, grounded in tradition, and forward-looking. We are honored to celebrate her as co-Alumna of the Year.
