  • Absence Due to Illness Policy

To help ensure the health and well-being of all students, faculty, and staff, Notre Dame Prep follows a clearly defined Absence Due to Illness Policy, developed in collaboration with our Health Suite. This policy, as outlined in the 2025–2026 Student Handbook, provides important guidance for when a student is sick, including when to stay home, how to report an illness, and when a medical note is required. By following these protocols, we aim to reduce the spread of illness on campus and support students in their recovery.

    If a student is sick:

    • The student should stay home until they are fever/vomit/diarrhea free for 24 hours without the use of medications to control these symptoms.

    • Parents/guardians should consult their medical provider or urgent care for medical advice and testing recommendations.

    • Parents/guardians should report any confirmed illnesses to the Health Suite.

    • Parents/guardians should email all absences to ULattendance@notredameprep.com.

    • Per the Student Handbook, a medical provider’s note is required for any absence of FIVE or more consecutive school days.
  • Athletics Information (Fall 2025 Season)

Tryouts for the 2025–2026 Upper Level Fall Sports season begin August 15, 2025. Additional information about tryouts and the Upper Level Fall Sports season will be available here at a later date.
  • Attendance Policies & Procedures

Every absence, late arrival, and early dismissal requires an email from a parent or guardian to ULattendance@notredameprep.com before 7:55 a.m. on the morning the student is absent. Please include the reason for her absence. For early dismissal, please include the dismissal time and if the student will be returning after the appointment. When a student arrives late or attends a doctor's appointment throughout the school day, they must return with a doctor's note. If an email has not been received within three days after her return, the student will be issued a warning.

More information regarding our attendance policies and late arrival/early dismissal procedures can be found in the 2025–2026 Student Handbook, which will be available at a later date.

  • Laptop Workshop for New Upper Level Students

PLEASE NOTE: All new Upper Level students should have already registered for Laptop Workshop as part of our enrollment onboarding in the spring. If a student has NOT registered, please reference this registration form. There is no makeup date for Laptop Workshop. If a student cannot make any of these dates, they will need to make an appointment with the Coordinator of Educational Technology, Dr. Julie Dian. Until an appointment has been made, students will not be able to access the NDP network.

NDP hosts a required Laptop Workshop designed to ensure that new Upper Level students are fully prepared to use their school laptops effectively. The workshop is hybrid, meaning that there are both in-person and virtual components. To accommodate busy schedules, we are offering six days of workshop—July 15, 16, 17, 29, 30, and 31, 2025—with two sessions per day from 9:30–11:30 a.m. or 1:00–3:00 p.m. All incoming freshmen and new Upper Level students are required to attend just ONE in-person session (AM or PM) of their choice during the six available workshop days.

During Laptop Workshop, each student will access their NDP-issued accounts (PrepNet, Microsoft, etc.) and receive instruction on proper technology use and stewardship. They will be required to bring their laptop to the workshop, unboxed, charged, and ready to meet all required specifications. Once students have attended their in-person session, they will have until September 1, 2025, to complete their Virtual Work modules.

Students should bring the following to their in-person workshop session:

    • Fully set-up and charged device per PowerPoint instructions.
    • The power cord labeled with name.
    • Water bottle labeled with name.
    • Phones are permitted but must be turned off and in the student's bag.

    • Students will serve at least 20 hours each during their sophomore, junior and senior years at NDP to remain in academic good standing.

    • To encourage an ongoing and regular commitment to service, only 20 hours will be counted each year towards the requirement. The deadline for service hours is July 1 for rising juniors and seniors (additional hours will not be carried over into the next year), and spring break for graduating seniors.

    • Students are encouraged to pursue service projects that encourage long-lasting relationships.

    • Students must service with a marginalized group such as the elderly, people with disabilities, or people living in material poverty.

  • Textbooks

Textbooks and other required course materials for the 2025–2026 school year will be available for purchase through our online bookstore with eCampus, NDP's official bookseller, starting July 23, 2025. Information about required textbooks will be included on the eCampus site when it launches on that date.

See additional details below, and please email Ms. Jennifer Casey, Academic Dean/Registrar, with any questions about ordering textbooks through eCampus.

    • In the week leading up to July 23, all Upper Level students will receive an email message from Ms. Casey confirming their courses for the 2025–2026 school year, which Upper Level families will use to order books. Should there be any issues with scheduling core or elective classes, Ms. Casey will reach out directly to those students and parents/guardians as necessary.

    • A step-by-step guide for how to order textbooks through eCampus will be posted on this page prior to July 23.
  • Uniform Policy & Purchase Information

Uniform Policy: Each student’s care for her personal appearance while in uniform is a reflection of her own self-esteem, as well as her pride in her school. Therefore, it is expected that all students will make every effort to conform to the school's uniform policy, which can be found in the Student Handbook and is listed below. All parts of the uniform, including sweaters, socks, tights, and leggings, are expected to be neat and clean without any holes, rips, tears, or fraying.

Purchasing the NDP Uniform: Families are to purchase uniforms through FlynnO’Hara Uniforms. Uniform measurements and orders can be taken at the Parkville store (8868 Waltham Woods Road) at any time. Families are encouraged to place all uniform orders by July 1, 2025, to ensure delivery before the start of the school year.

Additional Uniform Items: Uniform gym shorts can only be purchased at the Trading Post. Uniform gym shorts are to be worn under the tunic for PE class and Gym Meet. The Trading Post also sells the NDP quarter-zip, which is approved to wear during the school day. All other pieces of the uniform must be purchased at FlynnO’Hara Uniforms.

As stated in the Student Handbook, the NDP uniform consists of the following:

    1. A navy dress from FlynnO’Hara Uniforms worn no more than two inches above the knee with attached belt, white collar, and white cuffs. The dress must be completely zipped at all times with the belt tied.

    2. Students may wear a solid white t-shirt under their dresses. Colored t-shirts under dresses are not permitted.

    3. Plain white (no logo or stripes) crew socks at least three inches above the ankle bone.

    4. Navy tights or full-length navy leggings (yoga pants are not permitted). Uniform crew socks must be worn over the ankles of the leggings.

    5. Hard-soled black and white saddle shoes.

    6. Uniform navy pullover or cardigan sweater from Flynn O’Hara.

    7. Name tag, which is pinned horizontally below the uniform collar or sweater neckline.

    8. Non-visible shorts may be worn under the uniform dress.

    9. Long, navy blue or grey sweatpants (not flannel pajama pants) and athletic shoes (not flip flops or slippers) may be worn into school but must be removed for the school day.

    10. Gym uniform consisting of blue tunic at least two inches below a student’s fingertips with student’s embroidered initials on left-hand side and attached belt, white collared shirt, blue shorts, white socks, and athletic shoes with shoe backs and tied with laces.

    11. Team uniforms and athletic-looking apparel are not permitted during the school day unless permission has been granted. On these special days, NDP sweatshirts, authentic college sweatshirts, and plain sweatshirts are permitted.

    12. Hair color must be a natural color.

    13. Jewelry that is appropriate to our school uniform may be worn.
