NDP Honors IND Transfers

At last week’s Senior Awards Ceremony, NDP welcomed Christine Szala, current Head of the Institute of Notre Dame and soon-to-be NDP Principal for 2021-22, for a special presentation: she helped the school celebrate three students who transferred in their senior year to NDP from IND. It was a very special honor to have three new members of the Class of 2021, Grace Gellerman, Eliza Scherer, and Maliheh Varzandeh, spend their last year of high school at the Prep.
The school presented each student with a gift – a collage showing images of both IND and NDP. It is NDP’s hope that they look at it with fond memories of both IND and NDP, and an understanding that no matter where they are in the world, they share in the spirit of the School Sisters of Notre Dame.
Yet regardless of the location and architectural details, the same spirit of SSND is present. It is a  bond that connects women from SSND institutions across Baltimore, the country, and the globe. It is a spirit forged in faith, nurtured in God’s love, and alive in the unwavering mission that education—especially the education of young women—can transform the world.”
