NDP Community celebrates Sister Patricia McCarron with special honors, festivities

In an effort that rallied all members of the Notre Dame Prep community, Sister Patricia McCarron was honored during two celebratory days. On May 14, all members of the NDP school community joined together to celebrate Sister Patricia McCarron, SSND, Ph.D., for her 20 years of leadership and service to our beloved school.

A joyful assembly, which included singing, dancing, laughter, and heartfelt memories, filled the Auditorium with love and gratitude. Students, faculty, staff, School Sisters of Notre Dame, old friends, and even her own family joined in to send her off with excitement as she soon begins her role as Superintendent of Schools for the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Later that evening, at a special reception, the Board of Trustees proudly dedicated the school's Auditorium in her name. With Sister’s deep love for community and faith, it’s the perfect space—one where we’ve gathered countless times for assemblies, Mass, and moments of unity.

The following day, as an expression of gratitude, Sister Patricia treated students, faculty, and staff to an ice cream social, reminding us that her success would not be possible without the love and support of the NDP community. Although we are certainly sad to see her go, we thank Sister Patricia for the light she has brought to NDP during her 20-year tenure as Head of School.
