Twelve Community Members Honored During Quinquennial Hampton Award and Foundress Society Induction Ceremony

Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP) honored 12 members of its community on Thursday, October 1, at its quinquennial Hampton Award and Foundress Society Induction Ceremony, which was held during the school's annual Leadership Society Dinner.

Three community members were inducted into the Foundress Society, including beloved faculty member Sarah Myers, who is celebrating 50 years of tenure at NDP this year. The Foundress Society is named in honor of longtime former headmistress Sister Virginia Connolly, SSND, who led the school's move from Baltimore's Charles Street to Hampton Lane in Towson in 1960. The society honors those whose lives reflect NDP's mission and the philosophy of the school's founding order, the School Sisters of Notre Dame: transforming individuals, and through them the world, through education.

Additionally, nine community members received the Hampton Award, which was created in 2010 as part of the school's “50 Years on Hampton Lane” celebration. This award recognizes those who have made outstanding contributions to the development of the school, particularly the Hampton Lane campus.
