As we begin a new school year, we look forward to celebrating the first of many cherished NDP traditions: the Gateway Ceremony. This special event marks the beginning of our students’ journey together and is designed to foster connection, belonging, and sisterhood from the very start of the year.
This year, the Gateway Ceremony has been thoughtfully incorporated into All-School Orientation as a student-only experience that allows our newest and returning students to fully engage with one another as a community. By creating a more intimate setting for students, we hope to strengthen the bonds that are at the heart of the NDP experience and provide meaningful opportunities for leadership, welcome, and connection.
During the ceremony, our older students welcome their newest NDP sisters into a community they know and love. It is a powerful moment for returning students to model the values of kindness, encouragement, and belonging while embracing the newest members of our school family. Sharing this tradition together helps students build relationships and deepens the sense of sisterhood that defines our community. We know families value this special tradition, and we are pleased to share that the ceremony will be filmed and made available for parents to enjoy and celebrate alongside their daughters.
Also, as part of this special day, the entire community will participate in a blessing and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Huffman Commons and a celebratory community picnic lunch where we will gather, weather permitting, outside to enjoy our beautiful campus.
Thank you for your partnership as we begin another wonderful year of learning, growth, and sisterhood. We look forward to welcoming your daughters through the Gateway and into an unforgettable school year.
